FERAL I: Lunalectric
Lunalectric is the first chapter of in a new series of FERAL dance music events where the spirit of the urban domesticated human returns their spirit to the wild through dance. With deep long DJ sets in two rooms we express we focus on the creative manipulation of the form as we twist, turn reach, scratch, bite and leap to the beats.
For the first edition we pay homage to the light of the full lunar sky. The Bussey Building will glow with the glory of illuminated creatures as we invite you, our human animal tribe, to attend this celestial celebration dressed in lights, as we emulate our deity, the moon, which will be in her prime on Friday 16th of September.
Come out to play FERAL creatures, don your lights, as we electrify the night, with both sound and sights.

Untamed self-expression - tension release, ecstatic dance and movement meditation
with Freddy Drabble and Maria Rita Salvi
Sat 5th November 2016
18.30-21.30, £35
Free Dance is an opportunity for joyful unedited self-expression. No judgement, no being judged, no right, no wrong, just a 2-hour burst of endorphin energy!
The sessions are inspired by Gabrielle Roth’s '5 Rhythms' format, following 'waves' of music that warm up through the body to a vigorous high point of complete abandon, to then warm down again via more subtle poetic movements to a final meditative point of stillness. The class is also based on Joanne Skinner's 'Skinner release technique' that uses visualisation, guided movement meditation and partner work to release excess tension before taking the body into a wave movement. Participants have reported that this combination of techniques develops their confidence, provides tension and stress release and hones their ability to actively listen to their bodies.

What is Bioenergetics?
Bioenergetics is a form of body psychotherapy. It works to relax the armours and holding patterns of chronic muscle tensions that often subconsciously stop the flow of energy and life force in the body.
Through postures and moving the body combined with deep breathing it helps to release structures held in the body mind, often since childhood, restoring energetic balance and wellbeing to the nervous system.
Clients report feeling more grounded, sensitive and present with an increased ability to feel their sexual energy and live life to the fullest.
Brazilian Bioenergetics comes from Namastê Poa and has been developed by Prem Milan over the last 35 years. Its foundation is lowen but it is also mixed with influences from Osho therapy.
